Ethical Code

Rules for staff and volunteers who act as representatives of EurEta:

  • Ethical codeare always committed to the truth and accuracy
  • should always act in the interests of the organization
  • should treat others with deference and respect, regardless of skin color, gender, religion or philosophical believes, sexual orientation, age or other personal characteristics equally
  • should always aim at upholding with their action the reputation of the organization including through his or her correct appearance
  • should not pursue personal enrichment

 

Rules for national and individual members:

  • should always be accurate about his / her experiences and / or qualifications.
  • should strictly abstain from activities such as wage dumping or price gauging
  • should treat others with deference and respect and must not refuse a service, regardless of the client’s skin color, gender, religion or philosophical believes, sexual orientation, age or other personal characteristics equally
  • are committed to the truth, even if the truth contains potentially displeasing elements for customers or employers
  • undertake the commitment to always be updated on valid rules and standards
  • always strives to expand his / her knowledge and his / her experience, notably through continuous professional development (CPD)
  • should always abstain to reveal any information related to the work they have undertaken without aware consent of their client / employer
  • act only in the knowledge and trust to always want to achieve the best for customer and employer
  • should always discuss budget related issues before undertaking a remunerated endeavour
  • should always aim at resolving any conflict that may arise between them and their clients with consensus in the friendliest possible way
  • Finally, in case an endeavor agreed between the professional and their client is delegated by the professional to a less senior member of the profession, the responsibility for the quality of the service remains with the delegator
